Aircall is looking for a junior privacy counsel to join its growing legal team. This is a great opportunity
to work in an exciting, global, fast-paced environment. This full-time position will contribute to
Aircall’s privacy compliance efforts and support Aircall’s Global Privacy Counsel on strategic
Specifically, you will gain knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, develop a deep
understanding of Aircall’s data processing activities, privacy compliance processes, tools and
internal documentation. The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in privacy and technology, a
profound and up-to-date knowledge of European data protection laws and a notion on EDPB and
major European DPAs’ activities and guidance, as well as on non-European privacy and data
protection laws. This position will report to Aircall’s Global Privacy Counsel.
Your mission @AircallHandle ad-hoc privacy-related questions and requests from Aircall's customers, as well as Aircall's customer-facing teamsReview contracts between Aircall and its vendors and perform privacy vendor assessmentsPerform internal data protection impact assessments in coordination with other Aircall teamsMaintain Aircall's transfer impact assessment documents in accordance with EDPB's guidance on transfers of personal data to countries located outside the EUSupport Aircall's Global Privacy Counsel in privacy by design activities by collecting relevant information from Aircall's responsible non-legal staff and preparing accountability documentationSupport Aircall's Global Privacy Counsel in implanting new SCCs in Aircall's contracts according to EC's implementing decision of 4th June 2021.
A little more about you:You are a qualified in France or another EU countryYou have at least 1 year of relevant experience either inhouse, at a law firm or at a data protection authorityYou have a demonstrated interest and up-to-date knowledge of EU data protection lawBasic knowledge of EDPB and major European DPA's; activities and guidance, IAPP or another privacy certification is a plusAcademic or working experience with US and/or Australian privacy frameworks is a plusWorking proficiency in English is a must, fluent French, German and/or Spanish is a plusExcellent attention to detailProven ability to professionally manage time, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and process a high volume of work in a timely and accurate mannerOwnership skills and ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team. Sense for spotting legal issues and escalating appropriatelyAbility to interact comfortably with non-legal personnel (internal clients) and external clientsFriendly attitude
